Self billed as the toughest cover band of all time, Nostalgika plays 80s songs with reckless abandon and few thoughts to common decency or local noise ordinances. When I built this site it was less about the design (clearly) and more about the writing...you owe it to yourself to visit the site and read all the pages. My main goal was to create a throw-back to the bad home pages of the early 90s. The cheesy animated header graphic and roll over navigation, the strange use of capitalized and colored text and so forth. My second goal was to give this site my cleanest code to date. Luckily the two goals can go hand in hand pretty easily.

Despite the aggressive posturing and preposterous assertions, Nostalgika is a real band and this site can, in fact, serve as such. The home page introduces the user to the band and has a short YouTube video of a performance.

There are some really excellent photographs on the pictures page. One advantage of playing a wedding is that there's often a good photographer around.

The song list page is standard form for cover bands, people can tell right off if this will be their cup of tea.

The booking page is 99% tongue in cheek, but does include a contact email...really the only necessary thing for a booking page.

The final page is titled "Reasons We're More Awesome Than You" and is there to really drive the point home, in case there was any doubt.
